The City legend, speaking on MCFCTV.com, wants Blues fans to bring their blue & white scarves along as Mark Hughes’ side look to emulate August 2007’s win, which came courtesy of Geovanni’s long-range strike.
Mike told us, “I’m looking forward to it, and I’m sure that even the players who have never played in it before are as well. I also hope that the blue and white scarves come out again, like they did last season. Let’s create that great atmosphere that we had at both games last year, and I think we’ll see a great game of football.
“I think it will be a great footballing match to watch, United push it around and we can do the same. In Robinho we have a man that can win the game for us, so I’m looking forward to it. A derby is a one-off game, you really can’t say how it will be, and it comes down to the attitude of the players and the manager on the day.”
