Derby shirts auctioned for New Children's Hospital Appeal

The shirts worn by City in last season’s famous win at Old Trafford are being auctioned online to raise money for one of MCFC’s nominated charities for the season, The New Children’s Hospital Appeal.

The match on February 10th marked the 50th anniversary of the Munich air disaster, and to commemorate the occasion City’s shirts were of a unique design without branding and featuring the ‘Manchester Remembers’ insignia on the sleeve.

The New Children’s Hospital Appeal, with a current total of £15 million, aims to raise £20 million to support projects that will enhance the provision of care in the new children’s hospital. The Appeal aims to provide more advanced equipment for better diagnosis and treatment and parental accommodation on or close to the wards so that parents can stay close to their child during treatment.

The Club is specifically raising money to support a fantastic play area. This new area will provide a place for patients and their families to relax and have some fun whilst also improving a child’s health and wellbeing and encouraging mobility and social interaction.

You can bid for these true collector’s items at www.mcfc.co.uk/auctions until midday on December 12th.
