Dunne & Fernandes receive one-game bans

Following on from the dismissals of Gelson Fernandes and Richard Dunne during yesterday's 2-1 defeat by Tottenham, the FA have confirmed that both players have received one-game bans, which come into immediate effect.

Fernandes was given his marching orders after picking up two yellow cards just 25 minutes into the match and City's captain received a straight red card for 'denying a goalscoring opportunity' to Spurs' two-goal hero Darren Bent on 83 minutes.

Both players will now be unavailable for next week's away trip to Hull, but Mark Hughes could call on Vincent Kompany, depending on how he recovers from a groin injury after the Belgian served a one-game suspension yesterday.
