Hart, SWP & Richards in England squad


Joe Hart, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Micah Richards have completed the long list of City players called up to represent their countries ahead of a programme of international fixtures next week.
The Blues trio have all been named by Fabio Capello in his 23-man squad ahead of England's visit to Berlin to take on Germany this coming Wednesday in the Olympic Stadium.
So ahead of another hectic week of international football 13 other Blues have been given the call by their various national coaches.

Those City players called up are:

  • Robinho and Elano who are set to be involved in Wednesday's glamour friendly between Brazil and Portugal in Gama-DF-Brazil.

  • City captain Richard Dunne makes the short journey home to Dublin for the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Poland at Croke Park.

  • Vincent Kompany will hope to be involved as Belgium cross the border to face Luxembourg.

  • Tal Ben-Haim's Israel entertain the Ivory Coast in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

  • Suspended from this weekend's City game, Gelson Fernandes will report on Monday for Switzerland's friendly against Finland at the AFG Arena in St Gallen this Wednesday.

  • Striker Ched Evans has been called up by John Toshack for the senior Wales side as they travel to Copenhagen to take on Denmark at the Brondby Stadium.

  • Ryan McGivern, currently on loan at Morecambe, is in the Northern Ireland squad who host Hungary at Windsor Park.

  • There's a World Cup Qualifier call-up for Nery Castillo who will join up with Sven-Goran Eriksson ahead of Mexico's visit to Honduras on Wednesday.

  • Slovakian winger, Vladimir Weiss is set to be involved in an U23 Challenge Trophy Tournament in Bratislava this coming week with Northern Ireland amongst the teams competing.

  • Nedum Onuoha is in Stuart Pearce's England Under 21 squad for their friendly at Bramall Lane with the Czech Republic on Tuesday night. He was originally meant to be joined by Micah Richards before his call up to the senior squad.

  • Chris Ramsey will represent Northern Ireland's Under 21s as they travel to face Scotland in Hamilton on Tuesday night.

  • And finally, Ian Daly will be busy as the Republic of Ireland's Under 19 side play three UEFA Phase Qualifiers in Malta over the course of the next week. They start with a game on Friday against the Maltese on Friday before taking on Liechtenstein, then France in a bid to reach the U19 European Championships.
