Mike told us of FC Schalke: "They had and have a tremendous following, so there should be a fantastic atmosphere in what I’ve been told is a great stadium. All German teams push it around well, but it should suit us because we are a passing side.
"The thing about playing in stadiums like this and and playing in front of big crowds is that the best way to keep them quiet is to put the ball in the back of the net. We have the ability to do that."
And Buzzer isn't alone in making the trip to Gelsenkirchen tonight as he's joined by a couple of his former City colleagues who helped guide the Blues to European glory in 1970 as they defeated the German side to reach the Cup Winners' Cup Final.
"Tony Book and Tommy Booth are coming over with me to the game, we are travelling with the team, which is something we have not done for a while and we are really looking forward to it.
"We knew that they were a good side with some German internationals, including Lebuda who was an exceptional player. We lost 0-1 away but beat them at Maine Road.
"Losing 1-0 away from home was actually quite a good result for us back then in a two-legged game, but we knew that bringing them back to Maine Road we could beat them – which we did, 5-1!"
