Museum Manager Gary James is delighted with yet another accolade for the attraction which, during the five years since opening, has won more awards than any other Club based museum.
He said: "We are delighted that the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme has recognised the strength of our offering once again. When we first opened the Museum & Tour we aimed to offer fans and other visitors a memorable, quality experience.
"News like this means that those efforts are recognised nationally. We are proud of this recognition but, as always, we will continue to challenge ourselves to look for improvements to the overall experience."
The assessment was performed in secret and covered all aspects of the Museum & Tour visitor experience. The assessor highlighted many positive features of both eliments of the attraction and their summary stated: "The tour was very enjoyable and was well presented and highly informative. He [the guide] was an excellent host.
"The museum was quite delightful with displays that certainly measure up to best practice as seen in the main museums in Liverpool and Manchester. It is cleverly planned so that not everything is seen at one glance."
