The Platt Lane boys now sit eight-points clear of nearest rivals Liverpool after a frustrating game at SportCity where the Blues missed a host of chances to have wrapped the game up.
Jack Redshaw broke the deadlock on the hour mark, and despite being second best for large parts, Wolves got the point they had clearly come for after a goalkeeping error saw the visitors make it 1-1 after 75.
Under no pressure, Joe Clegg's attempted clearance flew up into the air, only for the Wolves forward to beat Clegg to the ball as it dropped and level the scores. City couldn't create any real chances in the latter stages and it was fourth-placed Wolves who celebrated at the final whistle as though it was a win.
The game had been brought forward from tomorrow after a request from Wolves, due to possible FA Youth Cup action against either local rivals Leicester City and the MK Dons, who in fact play their Second Round tie tomorrow afternoon.
As for City's trip to Swansea in the same competition, the Club has today confirmed that tickets will only be available on the night (Tuesday December 2) at the Swans' Liberty Stadium, admission prices are £5 adults and £1 concessions.
