Blues' fighting spirit pleases skipper

Richard Dunne has hailed the fighting qualities that secured City a point at Ewood Park on Sunday.

The
Blues were staring down the barrel of a defeat when Jason Roberts put
Rovers two up with six minutes left, but a Daniel Sturridge-inspired
comeback was capped by Robinho's superb finish in the last minute of
stoppage time.

The skipper said: "We left it late, but it shows
the spirit in the squad. People have questioned whether we have the
spirit to get through a dog fight, but Sunday proved we can battle as
well as play good football.

"Two down with three minutes to go,
you think there's no way back but we kept going. Daniel played well
when he came on, set up Robbie and he finished. I think over the course
of the whole game we probably deserved a point.

"A point's
valuable, we want to push into the top 10 and this also keeps Blackburn
a few places below us. The manner of getting the point when we were two
down so late on will give everyone a lift, hopefully it’s a turning
point in our season."
