Boss sees Hull as potent threat

Hull
City make their first visit to the City of Manchester Stadium today
looking for another scalp away from home, and Blues boss Mark Hughes
has a good idea of what to expect.

Phil Brown's side already have
some excellent results on the road under their belts this season, and
in a see-saw encounter at the KC Stadium last month they came back from
2-1 down to secure a point against City.

Assessing the Tigers'
threat, Mark says: "It's fair to say that they were an unknown quantity
coming into the league. But we're halfway through the season now, and
they have impressed everybody with the way that they have been so
positive in their first season in the Premier League.

"All credit
to them, because they have been brave against the top teams and gone
with two up front on many occasions. They always pitch up and have not
shown any fear, they deserve a lot of praise.

"It was a good game
at their place, it was a decent draw in the end because we had a
terrible start to that game. They always ask questions of you, their
front two are quite physical, always prepared to run at the back four
and put them under pressure. Geovanni's had a real impact over there
and I'm sure they are pleased with the season so far."

Hughes is
looking for City to be positive in front of their own fans to provide
some festive cheer and get three much-needed points.

He adds,
"The fans have been great, it is frustrating for everybody at the
moment and what we need is a situation where give them something to
cheer. Some of the stuff we have played at home has been very good, of
late we have tried to be a bit more solid defensively and that's taken
the edge off our attacking play. We need to be positive against Hull
and the crowd are a huge part of that."
