Christmas specials at the museum next weekend

There are two great reasons to visit the City Experience next weekend.

Father
Christmas will make a return visit his grotto to the museum this
Saturday and Sunday, while on Monday BBC Radio Manchester's Ian
Cheeseman will host a special 'commentator's tour' of the City of
Manchester Stadium.

Santa will be digging out his blue suit
especially for the occasion, and for £5 per child with up two
accompanying adults he will be handing a City present to each lucky
visitor.

He told us, "I love dropping in at Manchester City as
it's the only time I get to ditch the red and wear blue! I had a great
time on my last visit a couple of weeks ago, so I hope to see lots more
young City fans this coming weekend."

Stadium tours will also be
running on these days, and all children on the tours will also be given
the chance to see Santa at no extra cost.

On
Monday 22nd December, join Ian Cheeseman for a fantastic opportunity to
go behind the scenes and visit many areas of the stadium not normally
seen on the regular Tour.

Tours will depart regularly throughout the day and in addition to the standard tour, guests will also get to see: -

• Level 3 of the stadium including the commentary gantry used by BBC, Sky, ITV and Setanta etc.
• The Press Box from where Ian delivers his match-day commentary for Radio Manchester. 
• The Press Lounge
• The Referee’s room

Following
the tour, Ian will do a short presentation outlining his typical
match-day routine here at the City Of Manchester Stadium. Guests will
also have the opportunity to do their best “John Motson” impression as
Ian will outline how the match action is described from both a Radio
and TV perspective and how interviews are conducted with the players
and the manager.
