The
Blues face a West Brom side currently propping up the Barclays Premier
League, but ahead of Saturday's fixtures City were just one place out
of the relegation zone themselves.
The classy German midfielder
is calling for his team mates to ignore all the speculation on possible
deals in the imminent transfer window, and he says:
"A lot has been written about January, about certain players maybe coming in, about this and about that.
"But
we have to make sure that we stick together and put a performance in on
Sunday, win the game and then things will look different.
"We've
got the squad, we've got the potential and we've got to perform. It's
no good saying 'we should do this' and 'we should do that' and you can
always talk a lot before the games.
"What we have to do is make sure we start producing on Sunday and that's all that matters."
Three league games over the next week represent a good chance for City pull themselves up the table, as Didi accepts.
"We're
not in a position we want to be in. West Brom possibly expected to be
at the bottom of the table and be fighting for survival, but we didn't.
"Now this is a big game for both of us."
