Duo's reaction to the UEFA Cup draw

Following
on from this afternoon's Round of 32 and 16 draws for the UEFA Cup,
Manager Mark Hughes and Chief Operating Officer, Paul Aldridge have
given their reaction to the Blues facing another trip to Denmark to
take on FC Copenhagen.

City have already faced Danish opposition in
this year's UEFA Cup, in the shape of FC Midtjylland and on the
prospect of coming up against Copenhagen, Hughes said: "There are all
tough games at this stage of the competition but they will be going
into the game on the back of their mid-winter break so maybe we can
take advantage of that fact.

"It's one of the tougher draws we
could have had from the teams available to us, but we did what we
needed to do to avoid teams like AC Milan and Valencia and that was top
the group, so we're pleased with that.

"It might be a couple of
months off yet but I'm certainly looking forward to getting involved in
some knock out European football."

City's man at the draw
ceremony, which took place at UEFA's House of European Football in
Nyon, Switzerland, has also spoken to exclusively to mcfc.co.uk today.

And
following the Euro draw Paul Aldridge told us: "There's been a real
buzz of anticipation around here this morning and the draw didn't let
anyone down.

"These kind of events are obviously something the
Club want to be involved in on a consistant basis and hopefully we'll
be back here again this season."

But it's standing Copenhagen in
the way before the possibilty of facing Aalborg or Deportivo La Coruna
becomes a reality and there'll be one familiar face in the ranks of the
Danish side.

"I know Nic Jensen is a former City player and was
very popular during his time at the Club," Paul added. "So it will be
good for him to back come to Manchester in the second leg but obviously
we can't be too sentimental about it as we want to progress as far as
we can in the tournament."
