The Blues will be anxiously awaiting the outcome of scans on three players ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Hull City.
Benjani could possibly be the longest term absentee with his thigh injury potentially a reoccurrence of the muscle tear that saw the Zimbabwean miss the early part of the season.
Even if the injury proves to be just a pulled thigh muscle the Blues will be without the striker for two weeks.
