Manchester City are reportedly still trying to sign Lassana Diarra even though Real Madrid have seemingly agreed to buy the midfielder from Portsmouth in the New Year.
The France international is mum on what his future is and has said he will reveal his next step in few days’ time.
Mark Hughes’ City had apparently made the 23-year-old former Chelsea and Arsenal player their top target for January, however, Spanish giants Real Madrid swiftly moved into agree a reported fee of £20million for Diarra as new boss Juande Ramos needed replacement for injured Mahamadou Diarra.
However, it has now emerged as though the move to Santiago Bernabeu is not finalised, as Diarra said: "I cannot talk. I don't want to. They are calling me from England and France, but I will talk inside a few days.
"I will not say anything. Football is complicated and anything could happen."
