Manager & squad help out at CITC bowling afternoon

40
young people from Manchester had an early Christmas present this week
when they had the chance to spend the afternoon bowling with the first
team squad.

In partnership with City in the Community, the young
people spent the afternoon practising their bowling skills before being
presented with Christmas presents of MCFC goodies from the manager Mark
Hughes.

City midfielder Didi Hamann said: “I actually used to
play a bit when I was younger, but I’m out of practice now! The kids
were much better than me and it was nice to see them enjoying
themselves, all the players enjoyed it as well and I hope the kids have
a nice Christmas too.”

The young people had also received tickets to the home game against Everton courtesy of the football club.

CITC
Manager Alex Williams MBE said:”This is the second year in the row that
the players have given up their time to come bowling with the young
people.

“All the young people really enjoyed it and for many of them it was a dream come true to spend the afternoon with their heroes.”
