The England international left Blackburn Rovers for Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but he is yet to find his best form for the White Hart Lane club.
Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest Mark Hughes is lining up a £15million bid for the former Arsenal youngster, as he looks to add more quality to his Eastlands squad.
However, the move has to be considered unlikely to materialise, as Bentley is a known Spurs fan and he is desperate to prove his quality to Harry Redknapp and the club's fans.
