Manchester City Think About Selling Jo

Manchester City are reportedly looking to sell Brazilian striker Jo during the January transfer window. If these rumours are correct, they will be looking for a fee in the region of £15 million.

City signed the Brazilian misfit for £19m after his superb performances for former club CSKA Moscow in the Russian league.

However, Jo has only scored three goals in his thirteen starts for the club, nine of which he has failed to finish, being substituted by Man City manager Mark Hughes before the end of games.

Jo was not a Mark Hughes signing, having been purchased by the club by former manager Sven Goran Eriksson before he was sacked by former club owner Thaksin Shinawatra.

Now though, with the new funds being injected into the club and with strikers such as David Villa, Mario Gomez and Lionel Messi being linked with the side, the 21-year-old looks surplus to requirements, and may find himself looking for a new club come January.

The Sao Paulo-born striker has made only two senior appearances for his country, not managing to score any goals, and needs to find his form quickly to avoid the possibility of an early exit from Eastlands.
