The opposition view: Murphy ready to take on City

Fulham are prepared to take on City in what promises to be an exciting Saturday lunchtime engagement, according to Danny Murphy.

The
former Liverpool and England midfielder now calls Craven Cottage home,
and last season he scored a goal in each City-Fulham encounter, a 3-3
draw in London and 3-2 win at the City of Manchester Stadium in April
that helped Roy Hodgson's side avoid relegation.

Murphy and co
are currently in tenth in the Barclays Premier League table, having not
lost at home since late September, but the 31-year-old thinks that his
side should go for broke when City visit this weekend.

"At times
they play some wonderful football and are a joy to watch, but of
course, with such individual flair and characters in their team they
can be susceptible on the break," Murphy told Fulham's official
website.

"So we have to be trying to attack them and make sure
that we have a good go at them, because I think their attacking is
probably their strength - you can see that by their goals for tally.

"We need to try and go out and win the match - we certainly won't be going into it cautiously.

"Like
every team in the Premier League they've got players that can hurt you
and players who, on their day, can win matches, so it will be a good
game.

"They play football the right way, they don't whack it,
they knock it about, and so I think the fans will be in for a really
good match."
