PSG not here to make up the numbers, says le Guen

Paris St Germain boss Paul le Guen is eyeing a win tonight to kick-start his side's UEFA Cup campaign.

A
return of one point from two games sees the former Rangers boss needing
at least a draw tonight to maintain any interest in the competition,
but he admits that PSG's progress in Europe is secondary to his
ambitions in Ligue 1.

He says, "We are ambitious, we want to
qualify from this group and we have come here looking for a win. A good
result would set us up for FC Twente in two weeks' time.

"I have
said all season that our priority remains the championship, but that
does not mean that we don't want to do well in the UEFA Cup. Tonight's
team will be similar to the one that faced Santander.

"This is an
important game because if we win we can still qualify for the knock-out
stages. There is a lot of talk about City at the moment, and especially
Robinho, but we are not here to swap shirts. The important thing is
this competition and taking the points that are on offer here."

Striker
Mateja Kežman, on loan to PSG from Fenerbache, is set to play in the
City of Manchester Stadium for the second time, having been in the
Chelsea side with PSG skipper Claude Makelele that lost 1-0 here in
2004/05, and he is also determined that already-qualified City do not
get an easy ride.

"If we don't believe, there's no point turning
up on Wednesday. A point would be good, but we want to win. We can
still qualify, but City have already qualified and will be playing
without pressure. That could be a double-edged sword for us."
