has been confirmed that Manchester City’s FA Cup sponsored by E.ON tie
with Nottingham Forest will take place on Saturday January 3, 2009,
kick-off 3pm.
The confirmation comes today following the selection of
the five games for television – with City’s tie not amongst those
picked.
Tottenham Hotspur against Wigan Athletic is the Friday
night match (Jan 2) while the Saturday late afternoon game follows
Liverpool’s trip to Preston North End.
Sunday’s two games see
Gillingham or Stockport County welcome Aston Villa along with
Southampton’s tie against Manchester United.
The final TV game of the third round weekend sees AFC Bournemouth or Blyth Spartans take on Blackburn Rovers on Monday night.
