Manchester City's first January signing Wayne Bridge anticipates much more transfer activity from the club this month.
The 28-year-old moved to Eastlands from Chelsea for GBP 10 million on the weekend and is looking forward to manager Mark Hughes using his spending power to bring in some talented players.
Among those expected to make a move to City are Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz, West Ham midfielder Scott Parker and Craig Bellamy.
The latest name to be linked with a move to the club is Juventus striker David Trezeguet who joins a host of top international players who have been speculated about. Bridge is excited about the prospect of playing alongside City's future stars and wants to show his new club his worth in the weeks to come.
"There are some quality players here already and I'm looking forward to playing alongside them," he said
"There's a lot of talk of bringing more players in so I'm looking forward to that too.
"Obviously, and most importantly, I want to show the fans here and everyone around that I can do well at Manchester City.
"I'd like to think I'm coming into my prime. I've got a good engine and a good left foot so I'll be looking forward to showing that on the pitch."
