Nigel
de Jong joined the Blues last Wednesday, and before jetting off to
Tenerife to train with his new team mates the Dutch international
midfielder spoke about his excitement at coming to the Premier League
and the prospect of linking up with former Hamburg colleague Vincent
Kompany.
We also caught up with Mark Hughes, who discusses the
attempt to bring Kaka to City, and the Manager is in no doubt that we
were right to try to sign one of the best players in the world.
The
Kaka story also falls under Andy Hinchcliffe’s radar, and the former
City left-back-turned-pundit thinks that the signings we have landed
augur well with some important games looming. Stephen Ireland also
drops in to praise the new approach to training brought in by the
management team last year, one that has helped the midfielder hit a
rich seam of form.
