Half term activities with CITC


The schools may only just have gone back, but it's time to think about making the most of half term next month.

City
in the Community will be organising a wide variety of fun sporting
activities for young people this February's half term holiday.

The
community scheme will be giving budding young footballers the chance to
practise their skills at a three day Soccer School in Tameside.

Open to both boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 the course will take place on:

Monday February 16th – Wednesday February 18th 2009

Venue: Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton Under Lyne, OL7 9HG

Time: 9.30am – 2.30pm Cost: £30 for full course or £10 per day.

Equipment needed will be football kit, trainers, tracksuit or warm clothing, a packed lunch and soft drink.

Thanks
to funding from the Premier League/PFA Community Fund CITC will also be
running a range of free sport and play activities in Manchester parks.

These
activities will include, football, lacrosse, rugby, arts and crafts and
much more and are open to both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and
14.

The sessions will take place between Monday February 16th and Friday February 19th at;

Broadhurst Park, St Mary’s Road, New Moston and Crowcroft Park, Stockport Road, Levenshulme

In addition to this, CITC will also be running free adventure activities for 13-19 year olds in Manchester.
