Hart looks to keep momentum going

Joe
Hart says that City must strive to keep the spirit going that saw them
beat Wigan with 10 men when the take on Newcastle on Wednesday night.

There
will have been an 11 day gap between fixtures for the Blues by kick off
on the 28th, and the win over Wigan was two weeks after the game before
thanks to the postponement at Portsmouth. With the hiatus in the UEFA
Cup programme, it is a far cry from the first few months of the season
as Joe admits:

"It seems strange having not had some midweek
games for a few weeks. At the start of the season it was 'bam bam bam',
and then you'd blink and you were playing again in another part of
Europe or this country.

"We want to keep rolling on, which we
will do in training. We had a two week gap between games (before
Wigan), so we'll just keep training hard ahead of Newcastle."

The 21-year-old keeper also took the time to assess the impact of Wayne Bridge following his City debut, saying:

"Wayne
has got huge respect in the squad. He's a great player who has fitted
in straight away and we're pleased to have him, as he proved against
Wigan. He's a good guy, he can integrate with everyone and he knows
what it takes in this league."

And he is equally generous about
City's fans, who he says deserve a good run from the side after
following them all over the continent all season.

"That win over
Wigan was for them, we have had a few games where there have been
question marks over our performances. They have travelled all over
Europe and this country to watch us, and we have been a little bit
suspect at times so hopefully our performance against Wigan shows we
are ready to fight with them."
