
MILAN, Italy (AP) — Manchester City offered a record $145 million to buy AC Milan's Kaka, who says the Italian team team will decide his future.
The 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder was quoted Wednesday on the Web site of Mediaset as saying that he is happy to stay at Milan, his team since 2003. Mediaset is controlled by Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who also is Italy's premier.
"I have already refused important offers," Kaka said. "My objective is to become, in the future, the captain."
Kaka said in a televised Mediaset interview that he wants "to grow old with Milan."
