Arsenal have declared that the transfer request from Kolo Toure will not be accepted even as the defender’s future still remains uncertain with reports suggesting that Manchester City are interested in signing the £10million-rated Ivorian. Meanwhile, reports have also claimed defender William Gallas is a £4m target for Italian giants AC Milan.
It has emerged recently that Toure and France international Gallas, who was recently stripped off the Gunners captaincy, reportedly have a conflict and that the former wants to leave Arsene Wenger’s side.
However, the north London club’s chairman Peter Hill-Wood has turned down a transfer request from Toure, who has been in and out of the first XI so far this season.
"I know about it (the transfer request)," Hill-Wood said in the Daily Star. "But we are not going to accept it.
"We are not looking to let any of our players go and he is under contract - and we expect him to honour it."
Gallas, meanwhile, is said to be unsettled after being demoted from captaincy and could leave the Emirates Stadium. Milan, who have been constantly linked with a January swoop for a defender, are reported in The Mirror to be making a £4 million bid for the former Chelsea player.
