Boss expects game of patience

Mark Hughes is looking for City to use a bit of guile when they take on Middlesbrough this lunchtime.

The
Blues come into the home game on the back of a disappointing
performance at the Britannia Stadium last weekend, and they will play
another side who will start the game second from bottom like Stoke were
last Saturday.

The Manager is expecting Gareth Southgate's
approach to be one of trying to stop Boro's recent poor run, and
therefore City will have to use a bit of cunning to get three points.

Of
today's opponents Mark says, "They're a young side, there have been a
few changes to the side and one or two injuries as well. They started
off the season quite brightly but have got into a run of results that
must be disappointing for them.

"They are a well-organised side
with a lot of enthusiasm with the young players they have brought
through from their own Academy.

"It's likely they will get
people behind the ball, and it could be that we will have to be patient
in our approach as we try to break them down. That's what we found last
weekend at Stoke, since when we have highlighted things we think will
help to the players. We need to make a better fist of it in the future
if teams sit back."
