City look to expand scouting operation

As
well as the well-documented additions to the playing squad, Manchester
City is also making changes behind the scenes that will help further
the development of the Club.

The Club is looking to expand its
Scouting & Recruitment department, so that it can identify and
monitor the best available talent in the UK, Europe and throughout the
world.

Root-and-branch reforms of the way the Club identifies
and recruits players at all levels are being undertaken, with the aim
to build on the success of the City's highly-acclaimed Youth Academy
and enhance the strategy of the senior section of the Club.

The
modern game needs a modern, forward thinking approach to locating and
bringing in new talent to add to the fantastic success of the Academy,
which has produced 26 players that have played for the City first team
in the last decade.

This long-term project aims to bring the
Academy and the First Team even closer together, and is part of a wider
initiative of building a football club for the future.

The programme of development is being supervised by Dave Fallows (david.fallows@mcfc.co.uk).
