The
FA made their charge on Wednesday in relation to the incident involving
Wright-Phillips and Rory Delap on Saturday. The Stoke player was shown
the red card, but referee Martin Atkinson took no action against
Wright-Phillips at the time.
Charges followed after a review of
the incident, but the player can now submit his evidence by 6pm on
Friday rather than Thursday. The case will now be heard on Monday at
11am, and Wright-Phillips is free to play against Middlesbrough.
