FA Youth Cup defence continues this week with a rare home draw in the
competition as Newcastle United are the visitors to the City of
Manchester Stadium on Wednesday night for the 7pm kick-off.
And the
Blues' chances of retaining the trophy they lifted at CoMS last season
will be given a serious test by a Newcastle side who have overcome
Oldham Athletic (2-1) in Round Three and put in a very impressive
showing down at Loftus Road as they dumped out QPR by three goals to
one in the previous round.
The cup holders, who are still
unbeaten in their Academy Group after seeing off Crewe 4-3 at the
weekend, have progressed into Round Five after tough away trips to both
Swansea City and Portsmouth but have navigated their way through
without conceding a goal thus far.
Ticket prices for the tie are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for under 16s and over 65s. Those spectators requiring parking on the night are requested to park in the North Car Parks.
