Cure sought for away-day ills

The boss calls for an away-day improvement, with City without a win on the road in the league since August (pictured).

"Mark Hughes calls on Robinho to end the club's woeful record"

Mark
Hughes has called on Manchester City's recordbreaking signing Robinho
to reproduce his individual brilliance away from home and end the
club's woeful record on the road.

City have won just once away
from home all season, a 3-0 triumph at Sunderland back in August, while
all but one of Robinho's 11 Premier League goals this season have come
at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Now Hughes has challenged the £32.5million Brazil star to inspire his side to a long overdue away win at Portsmouth today.

"All
of us need to replicate our home form when we go away," he said. "We
just haven't been able to produce enough quality away from home.

"Our home form has been excellent and, given the games we have ahead of us, it's about time we started dong that on the road.

"Robinho
can help us achieve that. All it takes is a flash of brilliance and he
can win a game on his own. If we get him in the right areas we know he
can produce for us."

City travel to Portsmouth for today's
rearranged fixture, which was called off on January 10 because of a
frozen pitch at Fratton Park.
