The latest name on the Manchester City hitlist, Joleon Lescott, has reportedly admitted to his team-mates that he would consider a move to Eastlands to improve his chances of starting for England.
The Times reports that the defender is hopeful that an agreement can be made between his own club, Everton, and the Citizens.
The Toffees have already rejected a £15 million offer for the defender, but in light of Mark Hughes identifying Lescott as a prime target, a second offer is expected to be anywhere between £18 - £30 million.
While unwilling to cause major agitation within the Goodison camp, the 26-year-old remains hopeful that Everton will be able to reconsider their stance if a better offer does make it to the table.
